Biography

  • Born in Cairo on 21st November 1941
  • Graduated from Cairo University in 1962 with B Sc in Pharmacy
  • Got a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Industries from Cairo University in 1965
  • Started his career path as a Sterile Area Pharmacist in Misr Company for Drugs – Cairo – Egypt from December 1962 till June 1974
  • Delegated to work as a Production Manager in Samara General Pharmaceuticals Company – Samara – Iraq from 1970 till 1974 where he succeeded to produce medical products in IV Solutions and Ampoules sections according to the highest pharmaceutical standards
  • Returned back to Egypt to work in Kahira Pharmaceutical & Chemical Industries – Cairo – Egypt starting from June 1974. During his period of work there he held many positions like Ampoule Section Manager, then Sterile Area General Manager and finally he was promoted as Head of Planning & Monitoring Sector and Board Member. He occupied that position till his last working day in the company which was in April 1983
  • Then he moved to work in Egyptian International Pharmaceutical Industries (EIPICO) as Head of Production Sector starting from 1983 till 2008. His contributions placed EIPICO not only in the national but also in the international spectrum of the pharmaceutical industries. His efforts and expertise greatly affected the achievements that placed EIPICO in high ranking position in the national and international markets.

His Contributions in EIPICO

  • EIPICO is considered to be the first Egyptian company to apply GMP rules according to highest quality and international standards
  • EIPICO had the biggest and newest sterile areas in Egypt and Middle East with a total area 1280 m2 and after renovations and expansions they became four sterile areas with total area 4264 m2. EIPICO remained for a long time the one and only company in Egypt that fully produces Eye Drops & Ointments inside the sterile areas
  • Tablets & Capsules: This section had a gross area of 4132 m2. It was the only section in Egypt that fully produced Long Acting Spansuel Capsule. Also it produced Soft Gelatin Capsules which is an unusual form that needs a fine high tech to produce. Tablets & Capsules Section produced totally 111 various products
  • Syrups: The area of the Syrups section was 2261 m2 and produced 78 products.
  • Under License Products: EIPICO produced more than 235 products covering 22 Therapeutic Groups under license from great European companies according to the highest European Quality standards.

Badr Pharma

A New Challenge

  • After this long history his journey with EIPICO came to an end in 2008. Despite he reached the retirement age he didn’t stop working. He decided to found his own company Badr Pharma for Pharmaceutical Industries in 2009. The company was built and established in four years time and since then he is its owner and Chairman
  • Badr Pharma is considered one of the fast growing companies that is specialized in producing sterile products mainly Injectable solutions, IV solutions and Anti-Biotic
  • Badr Pharma started the production of human and veterinary pharmaceuticals since 2014 in the Egyptian market. It has approximately 50 products covering most of the Therapeutic Groups in addition to the products under registration which are expected to be released very soon
